Aluminium Contract Sawing – Profiles, Tubes, Bars

Evotec GmbH saws aluminium profiles, tubes and bars to length as a contract service – to your drawing or cutting list, as a separate order or as the first step before further processing. Our focus is aluminium; we saw other metals, subject to a feasibility check.

Sawing takes place at our plant in Arnsberg. Drilling, milling, stamping, welding, powder coating and assembly are under the same roof – for these steps, your parts do not have to travel between suppliers.

What we cut to length for you – straight or mitred, as single pieces or in production runs.

Aluminium profiles

Aluminium extrusions with cross-sections of up to 300 × 300 mm (straight cut), sawn to your cutting list or drawing.

Tubes

Cutting tubes to length: tube sawing is part of our tube processing – drilling and flow drilling take place in the same plant.

Bars

Bar stock cut to length for subsequent machining.

Mitre cuts

For frames and structures: mitre cuts on the circular saw – angle and reference edge to your drawing.

Single cuts and production runs

From a single cut piece (by arrangement) to large quantities – for production runs with automatic material feed and length stop.

Deburring

On request, we remove burrs from the cut edges before the parts are further processed or packed.

Sawing with the Next Operation in Mind

We choose the saw for your part according to cross-section, length, angle and quantity. We match the saw blade and cutting parameters to the alloy, wall thickness and surface to keep burr formation to a minimum.

Because we saw where drilling, milling and coating also take place, we cut to the dimensions the next operation needs – with suitable allowances and reference edges.

After Sawing: Everything from a Single Source

If you wish, your part stays with us after cutting: we carry out the following operations in the same plant – with one contact person and no transport between suppliers.

Drilling, milling and tapping – profiles up to 8 m in a single set-up
Flow drilling with thread forming up to M10 and drilling up to Ø 43 mm on tubes and profiles up to 4,500 mm long

Materials and Cross-Sections

We mainly saw aluminium – profiles, tubes and bars in alloys such as AlMgSi or AlMg3. The cross-section of a profile can be up to 300 × 300 mm (straight cut). We saw other metals subject to a feasibility check: please tell us the material, cross-section and quantity.

Quality assurance

We are certified to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 for stamped and formed parts, welded assemblies and tube processing. For your sawing order, we agree with you in advance which lengths and angles we will inspect and document, and how; an initial sample inspection report is available by arrangement.

Frequently Asked Questions about Contract Sawing

What is contract sawing?

You commission us to saw profiles, tubes or bars to length according to your cutting list. You receive the cut pieces sorted and, on request, deburred, further processed and packed – all from one plant in Arnsberg.

Which materials do you saw?

Our focus is aluminium: extruded profiles, tubes and bars, for example in AlMg3 or AlMgSi. We saw other metals subject to a feasibility check – please tell us the material, cross-section and quantity.

Can you also cut mitres?

Yes. We make straight cuts and mitre cuts on a circular mitre saw. Please specify the angle and reference edge on the drawing or in the cutting list – we check in advance whether your profile can be clamped securely in the required position.

How accurate are the cuts?

For precision cuts, we work to an accuracy of 0.1 mm. We state the tolerance that applies to your profile, length and quantity in our quotation; it becomes binding with our order confirmation.

How large can profiles and bars be?

We saw profiles with a cross-section of up to 300 × 300 mm (straight cut). Tell us the cross-section and stock length, and we will check which saw is suitable. After sawing, we machine profiles up to 8 m long in a single set-up.

Do you cut single pieces as well as production runs?

Yes – from a single cut piece (by arrangement) to large quantities. For production runs, we use an automatic saw with material feed and length stop. We agree batch sizes and packaging with you; on request, we deliver just in time.

Are the cut edges deburred?

Yes, on request. Suitable saw blades and cutting parameters keep burrs on aluminium to a minimum; we remove whatever remains before the parts are further processed or packed.

What happens after sawing?

If you wish, everything else happens in the same plant: drilling, milling and tapping, flow drilling with thread forming up to M10, stamping, welding, powder coating and assembly. On the elumatec SBZ 150, we even saw and machine profiles in the same set-up – see CNC Milling for details.

How do I send my cutting list?
